Socket Weld
Pipe seats in a counterbore and is fillet welded on the outside only. Used on small bores where a smooth internal bore is not critical.
Threaded
Screwed to NPT or BSP, needing no welding. Suited to low-pressure utility lines and services where welding is not permitted.
Lap Joint
The flange turns freely on a stub end, so bolt holes align easily and the flange itself never contacts the process fluid. Ideal for frequent dismantling.
